Job Summary:

We are seeking applications from Emergency Medicine Consultants for a position in a prestigious hospital in Sharjah. The ER  Consultant  will be  responsible for delivering high-quality clinical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department. The role involves making quick, accurate decisions in high-pressure situations and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams to manage a wide range of acute medical and trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert assessment and treatment for patients with urgent or life-threatening conditions.
• Lead and supervise the clinical team, including junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals.
• Participate in the management of resuscitation and major trauma cases.
• Ensure safe, timely, and appropriate clinical decisions are made and documented.
• Liaise with other departments and specialties to facilitate timely patient transfers and admissions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of clinical protocols and pathways.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical governance standards.
• Deliver and support education, training, and continuous professional development (CPD) activities for staff.
• Contribute to service development, strategic planning, and departmental leadership.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent).
• Emergency Medicine Consultant License from DOH/DHA/MOH
• Fellowship or Certification in Emergency Medicine (e.g., FCEM, CCFP-EM, ABEM).
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage a high workload under pressure.
• Demonstrated commitment to evidence-based practice and continuous improvement.
